Last week I mentioned that DH and I were travelling to the Mennonite community near our home for theatre, dinner and shopping. A great time was had by all. Here are some of the sights we saw:
This is an Bed & Breakfast Inn and restaurant and has been deemed historical.
This is the Schoolhouse Theatre – we didn’t see our play here however we will see one later in the season.
Although we couldn’t picture the real horse and buggy we did see this replica.
The old ways are still available. You can buy the brooms as well as watch demonstration of how they are made. The shop also holds lots of antiques.
Behind the barn is a stained glass studio that makes fantastic pieces of stain glass works. I would love one of their windows some day.
This is the actual theatre where saw the musical “9 to 5”.
This a shot of a street off of the main street.
I hope that you have enjoyed our day away back in time and will someday visit the community of St Jacobs yourself.
Looks like a cute little town. Stopping by from Thirsty for Comments.
