It has been another satisfactory week. It has also flown by. We are anxious to start our Voyage of the Vikings cruise which leaves Boston today. We started our trip in Ottawa where we visited my parents. We tried to learn Norwegian from my father. Let’s just say we will not embarrass the Norwegians.
We drove along the South side of the St. Lawrence river to reach Boston. The drive was great until we hit Boston in rush hour. The tunnel seems like it is 20 miles long when in actual fact it is only 3. We are glad we let an experienced driver take us downtown where we visited the historical parts of Boston as well as took a harbour cruise.
We also walked Antique Road.
We had lunch at the oldest Pizzeria in Boston, Regina’s. It has been in the same family since 1926.
On Friday we went further south to Quincy, the birthplace of John Adams and John Quincy Adams. We visited their originals homes and had a narrated tour. We also saw the John Hancock cemetery.
I have many more pictures which I will share with you on Sunday in the City. Our fellow travellers have arrived at the hotel and we met some of them at breakfast today. I don`t think I will be lonely on this trip. There will always be someone to talk to. Have a great weekend!!
