We are on the return trip. It is sad to think our trip is nearly over. We have been treated like kings and queens. One of the best parts of being on a cruise is that you don’t have to cook or clean. We even line up for our meals. Our every wish is taken care of. Here is the chef Joseph who is responsible for the meals in the Lido.
The staff have been selected on this cruise to make it enjoyable. There are even a few we would like to pack in our suitcases and take home. Everyone has complained about the coffee on the ship however one of the Lido attendants Desy has been making my coffee every morning and it is almost as good as D H’s. She even carries our breakfast to a table. She is a little ray of sunshine and always has a smile on her face for us. We do have to share her but we think of her as a daughter and she is a “little one”.
Of course our room stewards are fantastic. These “boys” get up at 6am and start cleaning. They vacuum every room, dust every where and keep it hygienically clean. Our beds are made every morning and turned down every night. Of course we get our chocolates and our towel animal as well.
In the dining room we have amazing wait staff. There is usually a theme for the dinner service. We have rock and roll and all of the staff wanted to be Elvis. We had a casino night as well as a “Black and White” ball. If we chose something we don’t like they will run down to kitchen and get us something else.
We are entertained every night by great bands. We ballroom dance in the Ocean bar. We swing to D J Brad in the Crow’s Nest and we even tangoed to the String Quartet. There are also terrific shows performed by talented young people. They are wonderful singers and dancers.
To keep us from gaining to much weight on the ship we have a fitness expert Jo who leads us in pool aerobics, sit and be fit as well as games such as ring toss, bocci ball and golf putting.
If we get really bored from reading and talking to passengers we can always resort to board games. We have learned a new card games which we are anxious to share with our family. Look out H & R as well as C & P. It will give Spite and Malice a challenge.
We are looking forward to more cruising however as this one winds down we are thinking of our family and are just as anxious to see them.
