And now for this weeks Questions:
1. What is the most interesting fact you have learned recently?
We learned today that the route we travel will be closed on the day we come home. By looking on the internet we have been able to find the detour route so our plans will not change too drastically.
2. The alarm goes off on Monday morning. What is your first thought?
We don’t use an alarm anymore. On Monday morning we take our time and watch the weather and traffic news. Sometimes we get a call from our daughter if our transit system breaks down.
3. What is the most memorable movie line of all time?
"”Frankly Scarlett, I don’t give a damn!”
4. Describe a situation that always seems to try your patience.
We travel so much that I lose my patience with selfish drivers. The truckers who pull out to pass and creep along because they are only travelling one mile an hour faster. Also the road hogs who sit in the passing lane and don’t move over.
And don't forget to add a 5th Question on your own blog so we can answer as we hop around!
My 5th questions is:
Have you ever travelled with other people? How was the experience?
I am on a road trip with my daughter C and my sister B. Hubby is in the car with 3 women. So far everyone is getting along well. We are taking lots of pictures and are enjoying each others company.
I love road trips! But driving can be so stressful, I agree! Have fun!

I love road trips and usually I'm going by myself. The last time I drove with someone else they drove and I still stayed awake because I can't sleep when other people drive. Needless to say it was very tired on the way back because it was a drive up to DC, drop off the person and drive back in a day when I had no sleep the night prior either. I was t i r e d.
ReplyDeleteTraveling with others can be a pain - especially when their taste in restaurants is not the same as yours.
ReplyDeleteI occasionally travel with someone. But I do enjoy being on my own so that I can do things my way.
ReplyDeleteI have traveled with others (besides my kids) and I have to say that it has never quite worked out the way I would've liked. I think it is something like too many cooks spoil the broth!
ReplyDeleteAh yes, the quote of the first profanity ever used in a mainstream film, scandalous! (And so lightweight compared to today's films!)
ReplyDeleteI used to do the leg-work and plan trips for groups of friends. Those trips were always fun! For the most part I always have enjoyed traveling with friends. I think my brother and I drive each other a little nuts if we travel together or meet and spend part of our trips together. Our travel styles are just WAY too different.
I love road trips. A few years ago, hubby and I traveled from Maine to Washington State, Oregon, California, Nevada, and several places in between. We drove 7000 miles in 4 weeks. It was a wonderful trip!
ReplyDeleteOohh I didn't even think about on the roads for question four! But would be right there with you on that. Granted I don't leave the house much anymore.
ReplyDeleteHubby and I traveled with 53 other people to Scotland. It was a mission trip with my mother in law's international choir. Where hubby was in charge of the sound system and I was there to photograph things and help with sound and set up as well as clean up. It was a crazy experience. The trip occurred only two months after the passing of my younger sister and during our anniversary. For the most part it was a blur and very busy.
I took a road trip with a friend of mine a few years ago. It was short, her son and my son entertained each other, and we listening to comedy radio. It was very pleasant.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it nice that you know about the issues getting home and are able to make arrangements beforehand? See, the internet IS good for something!
Isn't it wonderful not to have to use an alarm any more?!
ReplyDeleteYes, we've taken a few trips with other people. We found it enjoyable for the most part.
