WEDNESDAY HODGE PODGE

1. What's one thing that's still the same about you as when you were young?

I am still happy-go-lucky and I don’t need a lot of sleep.

2. What's more important-history or science? Why?

Difficult choice since a lot of science makes history. Where would we be without the inventions that have changed our world.

3. Lima, kidney, string, garbanzo, black or pinto-your favorite bean?

The only bean  I like is a string bean although I like both the green and yellow variety.

4. What's something people come to your town to do?

I live in a major tourist city so they come for sports, hockey baseball, basketball, tennis golf etc.. We have a large theatre district as well. We just hosted the Film Festival as well as the Just for laughs festival. There is so much to do in our city.

5. When was the last time you were in a meeting? Sum it up for us in five words or less.

I am retired so I don’t do meetings anymore.

6. What special event would you like a VIP pass to attend?

Can’t think of an event at the moment.

7. What's one piece of advice you'd give a writer?

Write about what you know.

8.  Insert your own random thought here.

We are less than a month away from our big cruise. We are trying to fit in as many visits with our friends as we can since it will be close to Christmas by the time we return. We are so glad to be back dancing. We are learning how to “slow foxtrot” which is a popular dance on the cruise. We are spending quality time with the grandchildren because they grow up too fast for my liking. So I am off to lunch with my friend B tomorrow and the Friendship Group ladies on Friday. Have a good week everyone.

Have a wonderful cruise! It sounds like you will have a lot of fun! We cruised Alaska's Inside Passage a few years ago and loved the experience.

Sounds like you're staying busy these days, and you are right--the grandchildren grow up too fast!!!
Ooo! I wish I was leaving on a cruise (for what sounds like a long time!) in a few days! We actually do have one planned...in 65 days we leave! I have a countdown on my computer :) Just for laughs festival sound fun! Where does your cruise go? Happy Wednesday!!

I didn't see your countdown however we are crossing the Atlantic to Rome and back. Where does your cruise go?
How nice that is that you don't need much sleep. Your dancing reminded me that I want to practice with my husband since we have two weddings to attend next month. We are rusty but love the Foxtrot :)
I need sleep! And Just For Laughs festival sounds great. I didn't realise they moved them around. Your town sounds like a fun place to visit. I love stand up comedy (part of the reason I love living in Edinburgh with the Comedy Festival and Fringe). And all the theatres!
That's good advice for writers.

Enjoy your cruise!
I'm not sure, aren't the yellow beans called wax beans? Or is that a whole 'nother kind? Now you got me wondering. How fun........to prepare and anticipate a cruise?!!! Where to?
My recent post I'm bored...'what's there to do?' ---
While there's not much to do in my little town, we are less than an hour from NYC so we do have access to a lot. I enjoy the countryside too, so maybe the best of both worlds here. Unless you consider property taxes, then it's less appealing : )

Your trip plans sound wonderful and yes, spending time with our grands will always be the highlight. I see that you are enjoying retirement as much as I am. Living my dream! Hubby and I will be spending a month with our son and family in Northwest Indiana for Christmas and New Years. I love traditions.
