FRIDAY FRAGMENTS & FOUR FILL-IN FUN

Half-Past Kissin' Time

Feeling Beachie

This is always a busy time of year at our house. This year we are home and are having the time of our life enjoying the grandchildren and the school concerts. Last night was granddaughter  E’s and sang in the primary choir, and she sang exceptionally well. The band, ukulele ensemble and the Voice ensemble were very good too. We were impressed with how well grandson T who is 19 months old sat through the concert. Of course granddaughter F is an old pro at concerts. Next week will be F’s turn for her school concert and we are looking forward to it.

We haven’t started decorating the house yet. I think that will be on next week’s agenda. The outside lights are up and working. I know we will not go as hog wild with our decorations as we have in the past.

There is still a lot of knitting and crocheting to be done in time for Christmas. Hats, mitts, scarves, socks, neck warmers and headbands are on the list this year.

This week’s co-host is Kisma from Sounds Like Life to Me – she came up with the last two statements:

The statements:

  1. Sometimes I think  the spirit of Christmas should be here every day.
  2. Do you love Christmas concerts as much as I do?
  3. Black Friday has become a week long event and the prices didn’t really change.
  4. Having family come to visit is my favorite thing about long holiday weekends

Happy Friday Everyone!

I love Christmas concerts! The one thing I miss with the boys no longer in school!
I so agree with your #3. Cyber Monday and Black Friday never seem to end and the prices aren't all that great.
Indeed, each of us needs to be a keeper of the Christmas spirit year round.
I agree with you about the spirit of Christmas veery day. I think we might be better people. My great-grandmother used to say "if we can keep Christmas for a day, why not all year?"

I hate to admit I am not a fan of christmas music - too many years of waiting tables listening to the same songs over and over for months straight…

#1 goes along perfectly with one of my favorite Christmas songs: Christmas time by Bryan Adams

I so agree with your #1! Did you see the WestJet Christmas Miracle video from this year, bringing the spirit of Christmas to a village in the Dominican Republic? It brought tears to my eyes in such a great way! :)
