SUNDAYS IN MY CITY–THE HOUSE I GREW UP IN

Unknown Mami

Thanks to the Unknown Mami for hosting Sundays In My City

D H and I were out walking with the camera. We took a stroll down the street where I grew up and took a picture of our old house. We also took it for my Dad because we can help him remember some of the good times we had there.

The house was built in the early 1900’s. The lady we bought the house from raised 12 children in it. When my Dad wanted to pay a bigger portion of the mortgage she told him she wouldn’t know what to do with the money. I was married from this house.

I can imagine many kids climbed that tree too. I hope your dad enjoyed your photo.
I love to see the old places where I used to live - - - though most of my childhood houses have been torn down now!

Hey, I notice you are making your post pictures larger now! I LIKE that.
My parents still live in the house I grew up in and I suspect they always will

That tree could tell many interesting stories.........
What a fun memory for you. Our homes are made special by the memories not by their actual structure. I bet your Dad was grateful for the photo. Have a great Thanksgiving.
That tree is massive. Nice trip down memory lane.
