MEET ME ON MONDAY

Welcome to Monday Quiz About Me - hosted by Acting Balanced and Touristic
Here are FOUR QUESTIONS that everyone can answer and then you have the option to add a fifth question of your own for those who are visiting your blog to answer in the comment section, along with commenting on the four standard questions you answered! Grab the badge for your post if you like:

Acting Balanced

1. Are you good about going to the doctor?

Unfortunately with the medication I take the doctor checks on us frequently.  He only renews the prescriptions 6 months at a time.

2. What do you think about the practice of restaurants adding automatic tips for large groups or specific events?

I prefer to have my tip added however I also reserve the right to make adjustments if we don’t get good service. Of course being a rather loud person I would make sure everyone knew that we would not be back. On the other hand I definitely recommend a place for their good service.

3. When was the last time you went out for dinner?

I actually had dinner with my son’s family last night however we have not been to a restaurant since we travelled last October.

4. What is your best budget saving tip for recovering from an unexpected expense or planning for one?

Being retired and saving for our cruises we have been watching our pennies. We are using the car less and think about every place we can go on one trip when we do take the car out. We buy fresh fruits and vegetables in small quantities so they get used quickly. On the other hand we buy in bulk and take advantage of discounts and sales.

And don't forget to add a 5th Question on your own blog so we can answer as we hop around!

My 5th question is: How would you celebrate a major wedding anniversary such as 10 years or 25 years?

For our 25th we had a garden party at the house. Our friends could drop in for a while.

Like the idea of combining trips in the car. I live near the store, church, post office, bank, etc. So I am bad to run out when I need to get or do something in stead of doing it all at once. Thanks for the idea of saving gas by combining trips. Hubby and I love people and love to have family over, but when it comes to our anniversaries, we treat each one as if it is the most special day in the world and celebrate it just being together and doing what we want to do. We are not comfortable being in the limelight.

I tried to comment on your post - I love the necklace and thanks for the great idea to use the shower rings. The pictures of the deer is cute.
I would probably spend the day at home.

A cruise would be my idea of a special anniversary celebration! I've never been on one.

Ed and I have a standing tradition of eating Kentucky Fried Chicken, every year on our anniversary, because it was where we ate our first meal as husband and wife.

Traditions are wonderful. We will be cruising this summer for our 40th as well as having a family celebration.
A cruise would be a great idea. First priority is to find someone to spend my life with.

Seems to me for a big anniversary a cruise is in order. Even a short one would suffice.

We're hoping to be able to go to Hawaii for our tenth. We have 6 years left to work on it!

I love the idea of a big overseas trip for the 25th anniversary. Someplace we wouldn't usually choose because of the cost or distance.

It is funny you ask, because this year is my 10 year wedding anniversary. I have no idea what to do. I would like to invite all the people that came to the wedding to an anniversary weekend party - I had such a good time our wedding weekend with everyone who came and stayed. I would love to do it again but without the stress of the wedding! But, that probably isn't going to happen. So, probably a trip of some kind. Milestone Anniversaries I would say doing something out of the norm. We were blessed for our Tenth Anniversary to go to Scotland with choir group, though we were so busy that day we were excused from the group for a few hours for we hoped to find new wedding bands from Scotland, but that failed. For our 25th we are hoping to go on an Alaskan Cruise, seemed appropriate being "silver anniversaries" , we have 10 more years to go so should be able to save up by then I would hope :)
