MEET ME ON MONDAY

Welcome to Monday Quiz About Me - hosted by Acting Balanced and Touristic - sorry it's late getting up and last week was missing, but it's been crazy busy here at Never-Stay-At-Home mom headquarters...

Acting Balanced

Here are FOUR QUESTIONS that everyone can answer:

1. What did you do for Mother's Day?

D H and I drove 10 hours to have lunch with my Mother and Father. It was a lovely buffet lunch and we had a great visit even though it was short. We spent more time in the car than we did with my parents.

2. What was the best advice your mother (or a mother figure) gave you?

Don’t sweat the small stuff!

3. Are you gardening this year?  What have you/will you plant?

D H is gardening this year. The backyard is getting a renewal. We have zinnia seeds to plant as well.

4. What is the first song that comes to mind today?

Not a particular one. I have “Songs of Sinatra” in my head from our theatre trip on Saturday and we listened to the MP3 player on our car trip.

And don't forget to add a 5th Question on your own blog so we can answer as we hop around!

My 5th question is:

How often do you keep in touch with your family?

As often as I can. I talk to daughter quite often since she is local. I try to talk to son every week but it doesn't always work out and I talk to my brother usually every week.

Actually I just talked to my brother yesterday. :) . I think I see my brother just enough. He starts to annoy judgmental big sister if we're in the same place too long. We have a better sibling relationship if contact is limited.

I usually talk to my dad a couple of times a week. I talk with my closest friends in Michigan a few times a month. I wish I saw my dad and my friends more often. I prefer seeing them to the phone, but I still love chatting on the phone with any of them.

I talk to my mom every day, and my sister-in-law, at least once a week. I live in a different state than them and miss seeing them.

I talk with or see my daughter almost every day since she lives right next door. I see my oldest son once or twice a week, the youngest son, every 2 weeks or so because he lives out-of-town. My brother lives out of state, but I email his wife weekly, and we talk on the phone about once a month.
Don't sweat the small stuff is always good advice.

I have three sisters, and I talk to #3 (by age) every day, #2 several times a week, and #1 at least once a year, but we communicate on Facebook. Other family members get an occasional phone call.

I live with my mom, sister and 2 nieces so see and communicate daily.
My 2 kids, at least few times a week via phone and text, and once week see each other.
a few times a week texts with my brothers too.
Even once a year is too much if you ask me for my family. It is very dysfunctional.
