THRIVING THURSDAY

Welcome to Pondering with a Purpose –with Brenda Youngerman

Today's prompt is: Leash

This is an interesting word for the double meanings of words for Pondering. As a noun it is an attachment for use with animals usually dogs but sometimes cats. It can also be used to keep children in tow.

As a verb it is a restraining effect. I wish to leash my emotions when I see mistakes being made.  I particularly dislike poor customer service. So I have to leash my tongue to keep from complaining.

I don’t have any animals to put on a leash so I can only lease my thoughts and think before I speak.

Good post! Glad I wasn't the only one who had to go looking for other meanings.

I'm always having to put a leash on my tongue. It just will run away from me if I don't.

I like the idea of thinking before speaking ... more people should practice that. There are many things which could be leashed ... harsh words, disapproving thoughts and looks, negative thought patterns. Other things should definitely be unleashed ... love, compliments, praise. :-)

Since I no longer have dogs to put leashes on and my cat won't hear of it--guess I gotta just keep a leash on my mouth--especially when people are honking their car horns!
I don't have any dogs to leash, and I won't use it on my children....but being Irish....it would most definitely come in handy on that emotion thing at times. ha.
