THOUGHTFUL TUESDAY

Questions

  1. Do you have any type of air cleaner in your home? We have an air cleaner on our furnace but not an actual separate one.
  2. What do you do with the spare change you accumulate in your car, purse, pockets, etc? Spend it. Being retired we put most of our purchases on credit card and pay once a month so when we need cash we spend it wisely.
  3. What's one chore you wish you never had to do again? Clean the bathrooms.
  4. Are you outgoing, quite, shy, reserved, or life of the party? I would say I am outgoing. D H takes me out so that I can talk to strangers on the street. I am not afraid to start a conversation.
  5. Have you understood your parents more as you've gotten older? Yes! I was a terrible teenager and gave my parents a very hard time. I realize now the effort the put into raising us. The longer I have my parents in our lives, the better. Mom will be 84 in September and Dad turned 86 in April.

One thing that has been a pleasure for me in moving to Missouri is how friendly folks are. Are you the stranger that I had a conversation with last week?

No Katie it was not me. I have never been to Missouri.
I didn't know how smart my parents were until I became a mom. Wouldn't it be grand, if kids can see this as they are growing up instead of long after they are grown up?

i would rather clean the bathroom than iron - that's how much I hate ironing.

For the most part we use plastic to pay for stuff. Occasionally, though, we have cash on hand. Nothing ever sells for an whole number... it's always x amount of $$ and 85 or 95 cents. If we pay cash, the only way we'd not have any change is to just through it in the change dish on the counter or tip jar.

I'm not fond of bathroom cleaning either. You are so fortunate to still have your parents. Have a good week.

I like to put the change I find in our "fun bank." I HATE cleaning the bathrooms. Worst chore ever.

Wishing you a lovely day.

Enjoy your parents while you still have them. There are so many things I wish I would of asked mine. I am into genealogy now and boy could they have helped out on that. I am with you on cleaning the bathrooms.

I agree with Nel...enjoy them and ask them all of the questions that you'll one day be saying "I wish that I'd asked mama and daddy this or that!" about. You are so blessed to still have them.

Have a great week!
