Welcome to Monday Quiz About Me - hosted by Acting Balanced and Touristic

Here are the Questions:

1. What do you think the biggest downside to being rich and famous would be?

The problem with being rich and famous is the notoriety that comes with it. Money can’t buy happiness although it does make life easier. Do we have to have the fame to go with it?

2. What is the most interesting news article you read or heard about last week?

Canada's unemployment rate drops to 4-year low

3. Who kissed you for the first time?

I think his name was Cameron Kyle in kindergarten. I had to ask my mother to be sure.

4. How much do you typically tip at a decent sit down restaurant?

Our usual tip is 15 %.

And don't forget to add a 5th Question on your own blog so we can answer as we hop around!

My 5th question is:

What would you give up to stay on a tight budget?

A boy named Andrew walked me home from school in grade 1. He kissed me and told my Mom we were getting married. Lol

Did you?
i am going to try to go on a budget soon. i will have to give up doing whatever i want when i want - fewer movies, shopping trips, dinners with friends, pedicures, etc.!
Already have given up a lot due to my budget. No eating out, no going to the movies, no doing pretty much anything.

I budget religiously. If a crisis were to arise, I could easily give up cable TV - I rarely watch it. The Biz, however, would have a problem with that.

Extras like going out and going to the movies.
Living most my life on a tight budget I have learned to set priorities and luxuries. Refraining from going out and weighing they times I do with essential needs. It took a long while to get over the guilt friends would place when we would have to say no. I try to encourage events at home but some people prefer going out. Clipping coupons and shopping wisely saving money where ever I can. There have been times without tv, internet, books, needed clothes or special meals. Thankfully I am one who is happy with simple things. Though our blessings have been great as of late I keep the same tight budget mindset knowing how quickly circumstances can change. Always keeping an eye out where pennies may be pinched.

I am on a budget! I plan all shopping so that I'm not buying more than I need. I scale down or buy some things less frequently, but don't cut anything out, I just make some things more special so I enjoy them more when I do have them.

We tightened our budget about two years ago. Since then, we've cut back on shopping trips, eating out, and vacations. Now, I shop in bulk during grocery sales, and we eat lots of "left-overs", which we never used to do. With the cost of health insurance rising, as well as taxes, I guess the next sacrifice might have to be satellite television.
I'm really good about budgeting and I've been working now on limiting my credit card use as much as possible. The one thing I'd gladly give up is satellite television. My youngest is the only one that watches it anyway. Unfortunately his dad took out a contract so we're stuck with it for a while.
