This Week's prompt: Balance

do you feel out of sorts? Off balance?

Or .... how do you keep balance in your life

This is quite the topic that Brenda has chosen today. Let me start by saying that physically I am not completely balanced. I twisted my knee getting up from the computer. The knee is not swollen but is painful. I was unable to dance on Monday night. I am taking epsom salt baths and using arnica on my knee. The good news is that that remedy is working although I pushed myself a little more yesterday. I have to get this knee working for our cruise in just over 2 weeks.

Now on the emotional side I would say I have found a balance in my life. Being retired fits like a glove. I am back to knitting and crocheting. D H and I are sharing the computer and working around the house. We get out for our walks when the weather allows it. We stay in touch with the family.

We have great plans for the rest of the year so there is much to look forward to.

Be careful with that knee!! Give it time to heal before pushing it------My balance is way off lately--which is why I am awake at this hour (3:22 am)--bronchitis has settled in and I wake up choking and coughing--I do have to go to work today--but am contemplating antibiotics (which I rarely if ever take)--maybe tomorrow I will head off to the doctor--meanwhile I am using my inhaler which is helping somewhat (first time I've had to use that in about 2 years!!)

Take care of that knee! It would be a shame if your cruise was ruined by pain.

I have bad knees...constantly... try icing it as well... whatever is swollen inside might go down a bit. I like to wrap ice in a towel and then wrap the towel around my knee.

Ugh, knees can be such a pain... literally! I have one bad one that likes to act up from time to time. Hope yours is all better in time for cruisin' on your cruise! :-) It sounds like retirement suits you very well, and your life and activities are pretty well in balance. Good for you! I look so forward to being there in a few more years as well.

Balanced? What is that? I think most of us struggle with keeping things in our life balanced. I certainly tend to allow my blogging to take over more time that it should. Thanks for the reminder to stay on point and keep things as balanced as possible.
