MEET ME ON MONDAY

And now for this weeks Questions

1. What is your favourite memory you made while on walk?

The best walk D H and I took was to Marsh that had been saved from a developer who wanted to put up million dollar homes and landfill the marsh.  D H worked on the plans to save this marsh.  We love it any time of the year.

2. Do you prefer to live in the city, suburbs or country?  Why?

I have always lived in the city although I spent my summers at a cottage in the country.  My grandparents also lived on a farm when I was younger.  Now that I am retired I really appreciate our home in the city.  We can walk to 4 grocery stores as well as the post office.  We also have public transit outside our door and 5 Hospitals less than 10 minutes away so I guess I prefer to live in the city.

3. Post the cutest kid/pet/whatever picture you have taken lately?

D H takes the pictures however I think this is cute:

4. What is your favourite recipe made with apples?

I love apples.  I use them to make apple pies as well as apple crisp.  I am looking forward to the new crop.

Of course... it's the one day of the year I'm expected to be Witchy ... so I live up to expectations :-)

When I worked, I always dressed up for Halloween, but I had to be cautious as a lot of our patients had dementia and I didn't want to get them upset. Favorite costume a slice of pizza.

I've never dressed up for Halloween, nor have I cared to. My kids do. The oldest works at a supermarket and he's allowed to dress up as long as it isn't too scary. My youngest loves dressing up.

I don't dress up as in a costume, but I wear Halloween themed things and in orange and black, usually with goofy head gear. I don't want to scare the little kids, but no one seems to think you're goofy if the treat bag you give out is big enough.

A few years ago it was really warm on Halloween and my husband and I put on our old Mounds and Almond Joy candy bar costumes. We sat on the porch that year and the kids loved the giant candy bars passing out treats. If we get a warm night when we're both home, we'll do that again. It was fun!

I usually like the family to have a theme so we all dress up together. But last year we had a LOT of family stuff happening and I was NOT in the mood for any kind of celebrations. This year I hope to come up with something creative for my husband and myself while Ciena will be a blue fairy and Evan will be the black spiderman.

I only dress up for Halloween if we are throwing a family Halloween Party, which we've done twice in the past 4 years. I think I'll skip this year.

It sounds like you live in a good location. I suppose there are advantages to living close to everything, especially as we grow older. It's a seven mile drive to town for me!

Sometimes. When both boys were in the dressing up stage, they loved it when I dressed up. Now that one is out of it and the other one is getting there...we'll see.
