And now for this weeks Questions

1. How often do you shop for groceries? Do you shop in one place or many?

We used to shop once a week however now that we are retired we enjoy the walk and will shop every other day.  We pick up fresh vegetables and fruit. There is a lot less waste.

2. How old were you when you had your first taste of alcohol?

It was so long ago I can’t remember however I am not much of a drinker and may have a small sip of champagne on a special occasion.

3. How much TV do you watch?

Before I retired not much however I am catching up on shows that I missed. We both watch “Wheel of Fortune” and “Jeopardy” together.

4. How do you relieve stress?

Retire and you leave most of your stress behind.

And don't forget to add a 5th Question on your own blog so we can answer as we hop around!

My 5th question is:

How do you prepare for winter?

We don't really get 'winter' in Charleston, but I do pack away the flip-flops and shorts for a few months
For winter around here it is so unpredictable. For the most part I pack away the summer clothes and pull out fuzzy socks and jackets. I will also plastic the older windows we haven't be able to swap out with newer ones yet. The old single pane windows to keep the chill out. A few windows I have made inserts for this purpose, wood framed with plastic on the back and thin canvas on the front then weather stripping on the edges so it keeps the chill out but lets the light in, also looks nicer lol.

Preparing for winter... Um, I make sure all of my affairs are in order? :D

I'm not a big winter fan. I was always afraid I'd freeze to death when I was a child and I don't think that ever went away. I blame ice fishing trips with my family. I hated those.

I make sure all of my sweaters and sweatshirts are out of storage and I make sure the hot chocolate boxes are full. Give me a fuzzy sweater and a big cup of hot coca and let it snow with me inside.

We make soup too especially beef and turkey.
I live in Florida so there isn't much preparing to do. The one thing we do each year is make sure our vehicles have antifreeze in them...just in case.

I prepare for winter by changing out the wardrobe - packing away the summer things and bringing out the winter things.

Popped in from Monday Quiz About Me.

I get a new sweater, and make sure that the heater is working.
Well, let's see, I live in South Florida, so to prepare for winter I...do nothing. We typically get about 2 weeks of "cold" weather (temps in the 50's qualifies as cold here), and during really intense winters we can get up to a whole month of cold weather. There's not a whole lot of preparation needed.

I like your solution to relieving stress--we both look forward to retiring in several years.

I switch my summer and fall clothes upstairs and bring down my winter clothes.
