We have finally arrived in Iceland. We are sorry we missed Greenland however we will see it on the way back. The captain says we are very glad not have been caught in the storm because it was bigger and wilder than even he thought it was.
As we approached Iceland today I finished the book “Arctic Chill” by Arnaldur Indridason. It is a book recommended by the librarian on board. It is listed as a Reykjavik thriller. It was excellent. The characters were well developed and the story gave an interesting perspective of the life in Reykjavik. While I finished the story D H captured the trek into port.
We are glad to be safe and will stay in Reykjavik for 2 nights. Tomorrow we are on the Grand Circle Tour around the Island. We are travelling with our cruise critic pals. We are also looking at another trip which would be 42 days long next October. Have I mentioned we really like cruising.
